It’s so exciting to have a special edition of Real Weddings as captured by Diva Productions, a Florida-based cinematographer with a creative and personable style!
They were set up over their grandmothers’ Mahjongg game in heaven, Missy and Lorin believe, although on Earth it took eharmony.com to finally bring them together.
Even as my search for a soul mate had waxed and waned through the years, I never gave up hope. And here in Florida, via the most unlikely of places, I finally found her. After being prodded for years to use an online dating site, I finally relented and signed up for eharmony.com with several internal caveats already being written as I answered the initial questionnaire. Imagine my surprise when an amazingly beautiful attorney, whoseinterests included listening to Journey, my favorite band growing up. After an electronic courtship, we met in person and immediately sensed that this would be different from any other relationship. “It just feels like we have known each other for years,” was said by each of us to our respective friends and family afterward.
Through more conversation, we discovered many similar family histories. All four of our parents went to Miami Beach Senior High School and our mothers lived three doors down from each other on Fairway Drive growing up. And the most amazing coincidences have been found, recently looking at pictures of our grandparents playing cards in their weekly social club! While this may be a natural outcome of Miami Beach being such a small town in the 50s, it has sealed the union of Melissa and myself as being true companions for each other.
Having the wedding at WaterColor, an incomparably beautiful place and the location of their engagement last December, was an obvious choice. Missy relates: “we wanted it to feel like you were at camp again. A full weekend of fun!”
