Love galloped into their lives. And they flew cross country to each other in order to keep it alive. You see, all it takes is the JCC, a few horses, and recurring flights to reassure two special people that their love is b’shert.
Matt and Sarah met at the JCC Ranch Camp in Elbert, Colorado during high school. They worked in the horseback riding program and were friends for several years before dating. Matt went to college at the University of Pennsylvania, while Sarah went to Colorado State University, so the two of them traveled back and forth to visit during the first three years they dated. Matt eventually moved back to Colorado to attend medical school. Reunited and it feels so good.
Fast forward to a snow-capped mountain during a romantic winter’s day. In December of 2008, while in Vail, Colorado, Matt proposed to Sarah at the top of their favorite ski run. Because both are in school, the couple went on their honeymoon to Guatemala six months before the wedding. Since the Colorado outdoors are really important to them, it was a natural to choice to create an outdoor wedding for their family and friends to enjoy.
